Hi everyone! I’m excited to announce that the Quantum Research Experiences At CHTM (Qu-REACH) has opened it’s applications for summer 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity specifically for 2- or 4-year college students enrolled at New Mexico institutions to learn from researchers at the University of New Mexico. The deadline to apply is March 8, 2024. You can learn more and apply here.
Another fantastic opportunity is the Open Quantum Initiative Undegraduate Fellowship program, providing undergraduate students with research experiences working with Chicago Quantum Exchange (CQE) member and partner institutions, including:
- The Ohio State University
- University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
- University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Argonne National Laboratory
- Fermilab
- University of Chicago
- Northwestern University

We also posted new internships at National Labs and in industry. Applications are open for the Computational Sciences Undergraduate Internship Program at Los Alamos National Lab (LANL). There are also two new internships at Sandia National Laboratories: one for a Photonics Intern and another for the Student Intern Group for Microelectronics Advancement. I’m so pleased to see so many opportunities added here in New Mexico for this update!
As if that weren’t enough, our newest industry internships added include Quantum Industry Internships at Infleqtion‘s Chicago and Boulder/Louisville locations, a Quantum Computing Internship at Quantinuum, a Quantum Computing Applied Research Summer Analyst at JP Morgan Chase, and an Innovation and Research Internship at BMW. Phew!
